What is e-Duti Setem (e-Stamp Duty)?

e-Duti Setem is an electronic assessment and payment system for stamp duty via the internet, done online. This method is the main channel for stamp duty payment at the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN).

Who can use e-Duti Setem?

  1. Applications through e-Duti Setem are only allowed for registered users. e-Duti Setem users consist of several categories: Law Firms, Banks, Insurance Companies, Agents, and Individuals.
  2. Documents required for new ID registration are as follows:
    • Law Firm
      • Copy of applicant's identity card
      • Notice of establishment of the Law Firm from the Bar Council (Peninsular) or a notification letter from the Deputy Registrar of the Court / Form 1/Business Name Registration Certificate for Sabah/Sarawak
    • Bank
      • Copy of applicant's identity card
      • Copy of branch operating approval letter from BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia)
      • Letter of authorization appointing the bank's representative officer
    • Insurance companies
      • Copy of applicant's identity card
      • Copy of company registration certificate from ROB or ROC
      • Letter of authorization appointing the insurance company's representative officer
    • Agent/Others (if any)
      1. Copy of applicant's identity card
      2. Copy of company registration certificate from ROB or ROC
      3. Letter of authorization appointing the company's representative
    • Individual
      For Individual ID registration for e-Duti Setem, applicants must have a Tax Identification Number (TIN)

Online payment can be made by e-Duti Setem users via FPX or Bill Payment methods through CIMB BizChanel atau Public Bank.
